How to use an FSBuy spreadsheet
A spreadsheet only helps when every saved row has a reason, a risk and a next QC action. Collecting twenty links is not research — it is a tab graveyard.
Start with intent, not with “deals”
Write one sentence before you search: product type, budget band, and the risk you care about (fit, logo, hardware, shipping volume). That sentence decides which category desk you open. Without it, every Weidian thumbnail looks like a maybe.
Then open the FSBuy spreadsheet desk or the matching category page. Stay inside that chip until the shortlist is done. Cross-category browsing is fine for inspiration — it is fatal for decisions.
- Define the product type first
Shoe sizing ≠ hoodie chest/length ≠ bag hardware. One intent sentence beats ten vague searches.
- Open the closest category
Search inside it. Avoid judging unrelated items from a mixed feed that was sorted for engagement, not for your risk.
- Compare proof, not popularity
Photos, measurements, options, seller consistency, recent update stamps. Comment counts are weak evidence.
- Record decision fields
Item · category · link · price range · reason · evidence · risk · QC request · estimated total · status.
- Write the QC request before ordering
“Measure chest flat”, “show outsole side profile”, “zipper + lining close-up” — vague requests create vague photos.
- Estimate landed cost, then fund FSBuy
Sense-check FX around ~8.3%, then freight via the shipping guide. Sticker CNY is not the bill you pay.
Shortlist field template
Copy these columns into your notes — keep them boring and filled.
| Field | What good looks like | Fail mode |
|---|---|---|
| Item + category | One product family per row | Mixed “misc finds” bucket |
| Live link | Opens the current listing | Screenshot-only “proof” |
| Price band | CNY + rough USD after FX | Ignoring markup forever |
| Keep reason | One concrete sentence | “Looks fire” |
| Risk + QC ask | Photo that would kill or keep the order | No ask → no information |
| Landed total | Item + FX sense-check + freight guess | Sticker price only |
| Status | Watching / shortlisted / ordered / killed | Infinite “maybe” pile |
QC ask examples by product type
Steal the phrasing — specificity is the whole point.
| Type | Ask for |
|---|---|
| Sneakers | Box label, lateral panel, outsole stamp, heel counter |
| Hoodies | Flat chest/length, neck tag, print close-up |
| Bags | Zipper pull, interior lining, corner / stamp shots |
| Jeans | Waistband tag, rise flat, hem and pocket stitch |
| Eyewear | Hinges, temple tips, both lenses |
Skip a listing when
- Photos are cropped, reused or inconsistent across angles
- Fit-sensitive items have no size chart and no measurable flat lay
- The price only looks good before shipping and FX
- You cannot name a useful QC photo to request
- The “deal” requires trusting a dead coupon screenshot

How-to FAQ
Answers for people who open twenty tabs and still cannot decide.
What columns should an FSBuy spreadsheet shortlist include?
Item, category, live link, price band (CNY + rough USD), one keep-reason, one risk, QC request, rough landed total, and status (watching / shortlisted / ordered / killed). Extra columns you never fill are noise — delete them.
How many finds should I keep before ordering on FSBuy?
Three to five is enough for one product intent. Twenty open tabs is browsing, not a decision. Cut anything you cannot name a useful QC photo for, or anything whose price only looks good before FX and freight.
When should I skip a spreadsheet row?
Skip when photos are cropped, reused or inconsistent; when fit-sensitive items lack a size chart; when the seller only shows lifestyle crops; or when you cannot write a concrete QC ask. Popularity and comment count are weak substitutes for evidence.
What is a good QC request example?
Be specific: “flat chest width in cm”, “outsole lateral profile + box label”, “zipper run + lining close-up”, “logo stitch density vs listing photo”. Vague asks like “more QC please” produce vague photos.
How do I estimate landed cost before I fund FSBuy?
Start with CNY sticker × (1 + FX sense-check around ~8.3%), add domestic China fees if shown, then add international freight using volumetric weight — not just scale weight. Re-run the agent estimator after warehouse weigh-in.
